Our garden has been cut and trimmed ready for the winter…new nesting and butterfly boxes will be ready for the spring.

Fun at the Welsh Harp

It has been an exciting first part of term with all year 5 classes participating in Brent Nature Network activities. This week it was the turn of 5S to spend the day making nature movies at the Welsh Harp Environmental Education Centre (WHEEC)

The sun was shining and we were ready to get exploring the woodland habitat and doing some research ready for our video reports. Harry took us around the woodland habitat and we asked loads of questions about the planst and animals that live in the woods at the Welsh Harp in Brent. Even a dead tree is useful in nature.

Exploring Environments

Year 5 are taking part in some investigative science at Queens Park CLC this week as part of the Brent Nature Network. They have been working in small groups to record short films using their ipads.

Back to school

Everyone is excited about the new autumn term at school. This term year 5 pupils will be visiting Queens Park CLC and The Welsh Harp Outdoor Centre as part of their work on the Brent Nature Network. They shall be using ipads to make audio and video recordings of their nature discoveries. It will be very exciting.

Our Sensory Garden

In our sensory garden the roses are starting to grow out and are growing very fast.there is a blossom tree that is growing and is very attractive. We have a bird house and we have a camera to see if any birds go in.Also we have a sandpit that people can play with and enjoy it. We also have some herbs that have a beautiful smell not forgetting the lavender. Recently we had a pleasant visit from a beautiful cute fox. We also have a palm tree which is next to the blossom tree and is very tall and beautiful.We also have some beautifully painted benches to sit on and a decking to play on. We have some stones that are all over the floor and make a lovely crunchy sound. We also have some very kind caring helpful boys that pick up the litter making it shining clean.
